The origins of the Dark Souls game FromSoftware, the studio that developed Sekiro, became famous for the Dark Souls series, but with Sekiro they decided to do something radically new. The idea of ​​resilience and constantly blocking attacks appeared as a response to the "dancing with enemies" from Dark Souls. This time they wanted to create a fight where every hit was deadly and weighed more than just a lost piece of health.

Inspiration in real historical figures 
The main character of Sekiro (Wolf) is not just fiction. Many of the game's elements are inspired by real-life samurai and ninjas from Japanese history, such as Miyamoto Musashi, a legendary samurai who lived in the 17th century. His fighting techniques and style inspired many of the game's combat elements. Ashina's world also reflects historical Japan in the Sengoku period, an era of continuous wars and political intrigue.

Music as an invisible mentor 
Composer Yuka Kitayama created a soundtrack that not only highlights the moments of the game, but also prompts players to emotional accents in the battle. For example, aggressive and powerful sounds during a boss hint at danger and make the player focus even more. But when the player lands a decisive blow, the music suddenly becomes epic as a symbol of the glory of victory.

A game with ninja and shinobi philosophy 
Sekiro immerses itself in the Japanese philosophy of the ninja - patience, resilience and cunning. Instead of classic RPG elements such as collecting huge amounts of weapons or armor, the game forces the player to focus on mastering their technique. This discipline reflects the true essence of the Shinobi, who did not rely on armor, but on their skill and speed.

A project born from an unsuccessful idea about a ninja 
Sekiro was originally conceived as a ninja game set in the Tenchu ​​universe, the classic stealth warrior series. However, during development, the project grew so much that it began to need its own unique style and world. So FromSoftware created a completely new game with its own mechanics and story, which went beyond the traditional concept of ninja.

An important feature of the game is the "rebirth" mechanic. This concept was born from the very heart of the game: in Japan, according to mythology, death is not the end. The main character in the Japanese version of the game was voiced by actor Noriyuki Nakamura. Although he didn't have widespread fame before Sekiro, his voice added depth to the drama and power of the character. The voice of the Wolf became a symbol of silent determination and indomitable spirit, which the players loved.
